  48. FLYORDIE GEMJAM GOLD requires an IBM PC or 100% compatible computer,
  49. with a Pentium II 300 Mhz or better processor. The game will run on
  50. systems with 64 MB of RAM but this may limit performance and some
  51. features.

  53. Operating System: you must be utilizing Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME or XP
  54. or compatible to play FLYORDIE GEMJAM GOLD on your system.

  56. Controls: a keyboard and optionally a 100% Microsoft compatible

  79. 3.0 INSTRUCTIONS

  82. 3.1 GOAL
  83.  
  84. The object of the game is to score as many points as possible by
  85. collecting gems. For this you walk on a map from cave to cave and
  86. pick up enough gems so that the gate opens and you can exit the cave. 
  87. Beware in the meantime because various enemies are hindering your task.
  88.  
  89. 3.2 CONTROLS
  90.  
  91. Use the NAVIGATION KEYS to move around on the map and in the caves.
  92. To enter a cave on the map press SPACE. Try also the SPACE + NAVIGATION
  93. KEY combination (hold SPACE while pressing a NAVIGATION key), you can
  94. for example pick up items by standing next to them and using this
  95. combination.

  97. 3.3 HINTS
  98.  
  99. You can get a Hint at any time by moving the mouse over the ? (Help) icon
  100. on the menu bar. A bubble help will popup and give you some directions for
  101. the current cave.

  103. 3.4 OPTIONS

  105. You can adjust the volume of sound and the extent to which sound 
  106. effects and background music should be mixed.
  107.  
  108. You can also toggle between full-screen and windowed mode, and between
  109. fast and smooth screen scrolling - depending on your preference.

  111. From the Options screen you can also start the High Scores dialog box.

  113. 3.5 BEAT THE GAME
  114.  
  115. You have beaten the game when all caves are conquered. To conquer a
  116. cave it's not always enough to collect enough gems to open the gate 
  117. and to get out. In some caves you need to collect more gems than that. 
  118. In these caves the gem counter on the menu bar will start counting 
  119. again after the gate is open - now the counter is red and there is a 
  120. + (plus) sign before the counter to indicate that these gems are 
  121. needed in addition to the normal amount in order to conquer the cave.

  123. 3.6 EXIT THE GAME

  125. To exit the game, press ALT+F4 or click on the X button in the top 
  126. right corner of the window. Alternatively you can select Exit in the 
  127. Options dialog box (click on the Options menu bar icon to open it).

  134. If you enjoy playing the Trial version of FlyOrDie GemJam Gold, 
  135. sooner or later you'll feel a strong urge to purchase the Full version!

  137. 4.1 BENEFITS OF PURCHASING THE FULL VERSION

  139. When you purchase the Full version, you get access to all 60 
  140. levels and the full Tutorial instead of the few levels available 
  141. in the Trial. This also means new worlds with quality graphics 
  142. and sound plus new features that you haven't met yet.

  144. 4.2 HOW TO PURCHASE
  145.  
  146. To purchase online, just click on the BUY NOW button that appears
  147. in the TRIAL REMINDER dialog box when you load the game. 
  148.  
  149. Your browser will start showing the FlyOrDie payment form. You need 
  150. to be online at this point. Follow the instructions on the web. 
  151.  
  152. When you successfully completed the payment forms the registration 
  153. name and code will be displayed on the screen and you will also get 
  154. it in email. Save them for future use. 
  155.  
  156. Now select the ENTER KEY in the TRIAL REMINDER dialog. Enter the 
  157. registration name and key exactly as you received it. The serial 
  158. number you received and the one dispayed in the dialog must be the 
  159. same. Press the OK key.
